Hello. My name is Craig Watkins and I design and develop websites using WordPress.
I firmly believe that anyone can have an excellent website presence without spending an outrageous and ongoing amount of money to build, update and maintain their site and I am dedicated to making this happen as often as I can.
I’ve been a professional graphic designer since 1999, but by 2004, I could no longer resist the burning desire to figure out how people were starting to do amazing things with websites. So, I dove in headfirst and started teaching myself how to build websites and make them look like what I could see in my head…
…mostly by breaking things, figuring out why and how to fix them! At least at first.
In all honesty, I avoided WordPress like the plague for the first couple of years of my website learning experience because, in my uninformed opinion, WordPress = “blog”.
One day I finally realized that I was wearing myself out trying to make sites do a lot of the things I was starting to see WordPress websites doing by design. I gave WordPress a try and I’ve never looked back. I’ve been operating Tin Star Media full time since 2009.
I’m a husband and father and enjoy watching football and college basketball, listening to live music and playing guitar poorly. I love to BBQ, bury my nose in a book and what’s best described as “experiential” cooking.
I was born and raised in Texas, did a stint in the Air Force in Wyoming, spent a decade in Kentucky and now live in a beautiful and historic town in Indiana right on the the Ohio River.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’d love to hear from you!
